Ojinguh Bokeum - Squid Stir Fry - (오징어 볶음)

I bought 3 o-jing-uhs that day and I forgot to ask the ahjusshi to clean it. EWWWWWWWWWWW. I had to clean it for the first time. It was quite gooey and sticky...

First I made the marinade, it's almost exactly like the nakji bokeum recipe I posted earlier.

3 tb gochujang
1 tb red pepper powder
1 tb soy sauce
1/2 tb sesame seeds
2 tb minced garlic
2 tb sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
dash of pepper

Then you set the sauce aside and cut up all the veggies you want to use. I used onions, green onions, carrots, squash, and jalapenos~

Cut the ojing-uh into 1 cm strips

I peeled off all the brown skin and I threw away most of the parts that I don't like...like the tentacles and the head. After it's all cut and cleaned, thoroughly wash it with some salt. You have to wash it for a long time, because it's quite slimy. At this point, boil some water in a separate pot and put the squid in the boiling water for about 2-3 minutes. This will help take out all the excess juice from the squid.

On a skillet, add some oil and stir fry the veggies first.

Then add the sauce...

Lastly, add the ojing-uh. But one thing! You can cook some noodles and add it in...so yummy! Enjoy~~~~~
